Rachel's Story

From being an 18-year-old Wildland Firefighter with CALFire to an active-duty Army Nurse, my journey has been anything but typical—but through it all, one passion has remained constant: design. Growing up in the mountains of California, I spent my summers running wild outside with my sister or watching HGTV and Martha Stewart with my grandmother, learning to appreciate the art of creating beautiful, functional spaces. Nature has always been my greatest muse, and there’s a wilderness in me that no number of fancy shoes can tame.

Raised in a family of makers, I come from a long line of problem solvers. My parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles were skilled in woodworking, construction, mechanics, photography, sewing, and more. If something was needed, they built it, made it, or grew it. As a teenager, I was right there beside them—installing windows, hanging drywall, laying tile, re-wiring the house and even learning to weld. I’ve lived in multiple states and seven different cities, always trying to recreate the feeling of “home” wherever I go, and those experiences have shaped my approach to design.

Today, I bring that same hands-on, can-do attitude to every project. My style is a blend of rock 'n roll and refined luxury—a little rough around the edges with a deep appreciation for fine craftsmanship, antiques, and the stories behind them. Whether it’s dreaming up your next space or rolling up my sleeves to make it happen, I’m dedicated to creating homes that reflect your journey and stand the test of time.

I look forward to hearing about your journey!
